The visiting team did better in the first half, breaking the deadlock in the 15th minute after a stubborn move by Samake, who went past Aldegheri with a touch underneath. The thermal team struck the first blow in the 32nd minute: after a free kick from Zerbato was blocked by the barrier, as the action continued, Furini crossed into the middle and found the shot from Gobbato, who however hit the post.
At the end of the half the yellow-greens thwarted a good opportunity on the counterattack.
The second half began with a flash from the Sicilians, who after 40 seconds equalized the score with the post headed by Marisogu following a cross from the left by Bolcano. The only noteworthy outburst from Trapani, who from then on would do nothing but defend the precious away result and try to start again on the counterattack. IL Caldiero pushes in search of an equalizer.
