Simone Patrinicola return to success in Italian Gran Turismo Championship. The Enna driver won Imola in the second race of round number two of the series calendar Sprint.
A victory, the one achieved in crew with Lorenzo Pegoraro on the Ferrari 488 Challenge from the Best Lap, which repays the 2023 Endurance Pro-Am champion for a particularly unfortunate first round at Misano last May. In the second official practice session, Patrinicola set the fifth fastest time. Pegoraro then got into the car at the pit stop and overtook the Lamborghini of Englishman Christopher Milner to take the lead, then maintaining the lead until the finish despite two safety cars repeatedly compacting the group.
The next round of the Italian GT Sprint will take place at Mugello on the weekend of 24 and 25 August.
