Parma – A more than positive first outing on a national level for the two representatives of Finass Assicurazioni Atletica Viterbo Matilde Casini and Riccardo Cianchelli engaged on Sunday 2 June in Parma in the traditional “Meeting Pratizzoli” for regional teams.

The two very young athletes of the capital’s club participated with the Lazio representative in the important event which saw the best talents of the Cadet category from almost all the Italian regions competing, which in fact represents a preview of the next Italian championships scheduled in Caorle (Venice) in early October.

Matilde Casini defends herself well on the 80 meters where she gets tenth place in the ranking, second among those born in 2010 running in 10″13, a new personal record and a new provincial record in the cadet category, canceling after 22 years the manual 9″9 obtained in Viterbo by Giorgia Canu of Atletica Colavene Alto Lazio.

The girl from Viterbo, coached by Umberto Battistin and Leonardo Bargagli, who reconfirms herself in second place in the 2024 national rankings among those born in 2010, also contributes significantly to the excellent fourth place obtained by the 4×100 meters relay with a time of 48 ″80.

The other Viterbo competing is Riccardo Cianchelli, trained by the former hammer thrower Linda Misuraca and Giuseppe Misuraca, who at the beginning of spring changed pace in the difficult throwing specialty, obtaining results that led him, as the regional leader, to be called up in his first Lazio representative team.

During the Parma race the athlete defended himself well, obtaining sixth position out of 14 participants, and a new personal record with the measurement of 44.29 metres. The measurement obtained places the athlete in the very top national positions in the hammer specialty at a national level and he is more intent than ever in his continued competitive career on approaching and exceeding the 50 meter line of excellence.

Naturally, in addition to the compliments expressed to all the participants from Lazio by the regional president of the regional fiducial Fabio Martelli for the excellent fourth place achieved by the team in Parma, those of the president of the Viterbo club also went with a “well done” also addressed to the technicians, who with the their painstaking weekly training work at the Viterbo school camp, have continued to launch young people into the competitive spotlight for years in all athletics specialties.
