Republic Day is an opportunity to remember the flood: poems, words and music in homage to the sacrifice of the people of Forlì who lost everything and to the many volunteers who from every part of Italy wanted to testify with arms and hearts their closeness to the population thus hit hard. The celebrations for the 78th anniversary of the Republic, for which the prefect Rinaldo Argentieri also underlined “the great strength of solidarity that has allowed this land and the communities to recover, the foundation of civil society and a precise civic duty”, were also attended by the “Livio Tempesta” primary school of the “Tina Gori” Comprehensive Institute 5 of Forlì, the “Antonio Canova” Artistic and Musical High School of Forlì and the “Pellegrino Artusi” Higher Education Institute of Forlimpopoli. June 2 was also the opportunity to award honors to 22 deserving citizens. Present to receive a heartfelt “thank you” were the young Selim Ayach from Gatteo, Abderrahim Ben Rhouma from Cesena and Valeria Frasca from Forlì, recently awarded the title of “Alfieri della Repubblica” by the President of the Republic.
