Uberto Bonetti, multifaceted artist: the tribute book on the creator of Burlamacco at the Auser in Viareggio

The book “Uberto Bonetti” will be presented on Monday 3 June at 5pm at the Auser Viareggio headquarters (Pineta di Ponente – Cavallini area). His daughter Adriana will speak about the creator of Burlamacco together with Renato Gérard and Andrea Pucci; Manuela Granaiola will greet you from home.

The volume published by Edizioni Ancora presents Bonetti as a multifaceted artist with many activities, retraced in thematic sections that contain the great ability to represent his time: the late futurist passionate about flight who immortalized the thousand cities of Italy, the architect who represented some editions of the Book Fair with an innovative style, the advertising graphic designer with his posters, milestones of today’s advertising, the fashion designer with his accessories and his particular clothes closely linked to regional identities, the caricaturist who represented the many famous people of twentieth-century Italy, the set designer with his interior details. This and more in a volume that represents it in its thousand facets, a dutiful tribute strongly desired by the Bonetti family and the Promo-Terr Association.

The book contains the testimonies of critics, historians and people who in various capacities knew him directly or indirectly through his works starting from his daughter Adriana and continuing with Claudio Giorgetti, Giorgio Polleschi, Claudio Dolci, Mario Baroni, Andrea Pucci, Corrado Farina, Gionata Francesconi, Fabrizio Vincenti, Mirko Tomei and Renato Gérard, as well as an addition of an article by De Pero on futurist advertising.

As already mentioned, some of these speakers will be present at Monday’s event: Adriana Bonetti (daughter and curator of her father’s artistic legacy), Andrea Pucci, art historian, excellent tour guide and professor at the Liceo Artistico Passaglia in Lucca, Renato Gérard poet and painter.

At the end of the meeting, an aperitif will be offered to all participants, thanks to the Auser of Viareggio and its promoter Manuela Granaiola.

The organizers invite you to follow the Promo-Terr Association Facebook page to stay updated with the program of the various initiatives.
