FASANO. A 25-year-old girl died in Fasano, in the province of Brindisi, after falling inside an elevator shaft in a building on Via Piave. The victim, who she was on the fourth floor, she asked for the elevator but after opening the door she fell into the voidas according to an initial reconstruction, the cabin would not have risen.

The victim’s father: “I immediately understood that something had happened and we raised the alarm”
«She was a sunny girl. She had many dreams including getting a driving license and being independent.. And definitely getting married. Now those dreams have been shattered.” This is how his daughter Giuseppe Ditano remembers her, the father of the 25-year-old who died in Fasano after falling into an elevator shaft. The man waited for hours in front of the building where he lives with his wife for the firefighters to recover the 25-year-old’s body, and gave reporters a testimony about his daughter. “It had never happened before that the elevator stopped like that. This morning – the man explains – seeing that he was not at home, we tried to make his cell phone ring and we realized that he was in the elevator shaft. I immediately understood that something had happened and we raised the alarm.”
