Parma solidarity

Dear director,
there are many ways to “be Parma” to find yourself under the same sky and with the same lifestyles… let’s talk about Parma made up of cheerful, hard-working, optimistic people, lovers of good food and who, respecting traditions, always aim for innovation; and again, Parma which produces and exports exceptional products all over the world, which thanks to the great Maestro has brought beautiful music everywhere and which keeps its art treasures in a treasure chest and sometimes finds itself in the stadium or in the streets waving its colors higher and higher.
This is the Parma that we like, that we are proud of and that we love, but perhaps most of all we prefer that of solidarity, of attention to others, of the hand extended to those in need and that helps while also thinking about the future and the next generations.
We think of the many Parma residents who, in addition to volunteering, are committed to raising funds for the various hospital departments and in particular to the generous collections of money to purchase ambulances or medical cars that save lives and give hope to those in need of hospitalization and assistance .
Every time we see a Public Assistance or Red Cross vehicle speeding down the street, our gaze also goes to the many inscriptions and dedications that these vehicles bear on the sides of their bodies; they are not only a sign of gratitude and recognition of those who have left so much for their loved ones and for the community but it is also the “living” and tangible testimony of a lifestyle… investing in others, in the future, donating thinking about most precious thing, health. An ambulance guides us towards the road to salvation, it is a symbol of hope and solidarity and the latter is an investment that never fails.
Therefore, we encourage and applaud those many associations, foundations and even private citizens who work for these missions because they not only give their lives but are an example and a warning for all of us… that we are not alone and ambulances are the best means of proximity to the person in an emergency, a value that we hope will never die.
