Phenomenal start from Bagnaia who overtook Martin at 2nd and was first straight away: he was unable to escape (never ahead of second), Martin always close but at the last corner Bastianini overtook the Spaniard, scoring the one-two!

Scarperia – And the master of the start & first lap. After Qatar, after Jerez and after Barcelona another masterpiece departure for Pecco Bagnaia.

In today’s work of art Bagnaia has also included the overtaking Martin at turn 2, with whom he went leading the race. An overtaking made while the motorbike he wheeled and the front lifted off the ground a moment before setting the curve, Bagnaia has tamed his Ducati and put it in front.

He never moved from first position but there was no escape. The world champion, in 23 laps, never managed to have an advantage of more than a second Jorge Martin.

The Spaniard remained second until the last corner, at Bucine: there he was overtaken by a excellent Bastianini. So Martin finished third.

What Bastianini!

Tadorning a Bastianini: the number 23 was third for a long time but on lap 18 Marc Marquez he passed it at the San Donato braking section. Four laps later, in the penultimate place, Bastianini overtook Marquez again at Scarperia, but it didn’t end there.

Bastianini set himself up with a lap and a half available Martin’s hunttook it back and attached it to Bucine: second place with the last lap in 1.46.277!

Marquez, what a difference with the other GP23s

LThe race, apart from these overtakings described, was rather flat, with the positions consolidated. In the end Marquez had to settle for fourth place, first GP23 behind the three GP24s.

Marquez it is however, by far, the first GP23: the second arrived at 8 seconds from MM (Diggia), third at 10 (Alex Marquez) and fourth at 18 seconds (Bezzecchi).

– fifth and solid Pedro Acosta. First non-Ducati bike at the finish line, first KTM. Another demonstration of skill

– For Morbidelli a sixth place which is a bit like a glass: it’s half full or half empty: we’ll see it in the next 4-5 races

– speaking of Ducatis: the only one out of the 10 is, unfortunately, that of Bezzecchi
