A building and related appurtenances in Vistarino, Buttirago district, in the Pavia area were seized and sealed.
Inside, illegal car demolition/car repair activities were found and numerous vehicles, parts of them, dangerous waste and goods were found, the origin of which will have to be established. Environmental crimes were identified and a man was reported to the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Pavia. The checks are still ongoing in the the scope of the activity conducted by the men of the judicial police team of the traffic police section aimed at determining and reconstructing the events relating to the activities that were carried out illegally in a building in the Buttirago hamlet of the municipality of Vistarino.
Following a police check carried out at the end of a thorough preventive activity carried out on site, where there had been an anomalous movement of vehicles and people for some time, it was ascertained that a person, already known to the police, was carrying out illegally, as it lacks any authorisation, license or communication, self-demolition and self-repair activities.
Outside the building, in the seized area, delimited by a gate which for a few days had been covered by a blackout net presumably to hide movements inside, there were numerous vehicles, some in a very bad state of use, some damaged by road accident, some without mechanical parts or used to pile up various types of waste inside them.
Numerous dangerous wastes were found inside the building, in a state of abandonment, and goods for which investigations are still underway to establish their origin. The person who managed the aforementioned activities was reported in a state of freedom to the public prosecutor’s office at the court of Pavia.
