FERMO – The prestigious recognition of “Marchigians of the Year” has been awarded to eleven people from the Marche region. Among them, three stand out, if not for the quality that is rewarded in all, for their young age. Three real Fermos, a university professor who makes the Marche region shine in the world of scientific research, and two entrepreneurs who leave previous generations calm about the fact that the company is in good hands.
I am Emanuele Frontoni, professor at the University of Macerata, Elisa and Paolo Scendoni, entrepreneurs of the Ciriaci company. The award ceremony of the “Picus del Ver Sacrum”, which means “Marchigiano of the year”, took place in the Chapter House of the Senate of the Republic, chosen by the Ce.S.Ma.
“I share the award, with gratitude, with the many people who have accompanied me thus far: my entire family and, in particular, my wife Emanuela and our children who I hope will also absorb a lot from these moments. And then thanks to the friends and colleagues of the Vrai Lab” began Frontoni. “This award is an incredible honor. It is not just ours, but that of all those who have supported and inspired us along the way” underline Paolo and Elisa Scendoni.
One point united them and the summary is given by Frontoni: “No one can do anything alone and what we manage to achieve depends very much on the quality of the relationships we cultivate”.
If Frontoni works in the field of artificial intelligence, trying to make it functional for people and not a threat, Paolo and Elisa Scendoni are committed to making what their grandfather and mother created grow without forgetting the social commitment and the challenge of maintaining an artisanal system keeping up with the times using technology.

The Marchigiano ad Honorem award was also awarded to the Italian Ambassador and General Secretary of the Adriatic Ionian Initiative (IAI) GIOVANNI CASTELLANETA and the Marchigiano nel Mondo award to LORENA NOÈ, President of the Marchigiani Association in Genk, Belgium.
