PESARO – The prisoner who attempted to escape the other day will be tried immediately. Inmate escapes during physiotherapy session, manhunt and commotion the other morning in Pesaro. This is the 30-year-old Algerian, in prison in Pesaro for attempted murder, sexual violence, injury and resistance to a public official committed in Milan with the end of his sentence in 2029, he escaped at 11.30 from the prison police who had taken him to a physiotherapy session in the Ast rehabilitation center in via Redipuglia.

The man, taking advantage of the situation, escaped by jumping from the window located on the ground floor and began his escape. A lightning-fast gesture that surprised everyone, but the carabinieri of the Pesaro company and the provincial command as well as the penitentiary police officers immediately set out on his trail. An off-duty officer helped point out the escape route, so the military searched the area in force. A full-scale chase and search, covering every corner and every area, with the collaboration of disoriented citizens who pointed to a boy running away. Then the circle narrowed in the area of via Lucio Accio, where the 30-year-old had taken refuge in an agricultural shed, in the Soria area. The soldiers broke in and blocked the detainee who at that point, at the sight of the uniforms, did not resist. He was then arrested for the crime of escape and taken back to prison at Villa Fastiggi. The owners of the warehouse were completely unaware of the situation, in fact they said they understood nothing of what was happening. They were only told by the police to stay at home. Only later did they become clear about the situation. It was a sudden but at the same time incredible thing, a movie scene experienced from the window of the house, with the “bad guy” arrested live in his own shed.
