Carpi Motta’s farewell: “Indelible memories”

Yesterday’s sensations are now certainties. As anticipated, Carpi has decided not to reconfirm sporting director Riccardo Motta, who was presented to the Sporting Club on May 31st a year ago.

“A path, which began last summer – we read – characterized by growth, belonging, sharing and victory. Today the paths with Motta separate, with the mutual awareness of the value of relationships – human and professional – created in a season that will always leave an indelible mark in our hearts. We wish Riccardo Motta a satisfying career continuation, hoping that this season will be an indelible stage in a journey full of new satisfactions.”

Motta left an indelible mark on Carpi’s season of promotion to Serie C, from the high-profile summer transfer market, through to managing the group in difficult times, with a total symbiosis with Mr. Serpini which was one of the secrets of the feat. “Thank you. I’ll start from the end – we read in Motta’s post on his Facebook page –, thank you and I will never stop saying it. Thank you for the opportunity that President Claudio Lazzaretti decided to give me at the end of last season to get to together with a much desired goal. We wrote history all together. Thanks to the city of Carpi and its people, to all the fans I remember that you are leaving me with a beautiful, indelible and victorious experience together. Thanks to Christian Serpini, who I found again after 20 years and who never seemed to have lost him in the past 20. I gave everything, making a lot of mistakes, trying. to make up for it, fighting, with a great sense of belonging, loyally and above all with my heart. Thanks to my parents, Floriana and Bruno. Forza Carpi, always.”

Since yesterday therefore the casting for the sporting director has continued with Bernardi, Serafini and Bedin in pole position.
