Marche, mountaineer falls down the wall: this is how the event happened

In the Pesaro area a mountaineer appears to have fallen off the wall. Let’s see some more details on how the story would have unfolded:

According to initial reconstructions of the incident, an accident occurred this afternoon involving a mountaineer. This event appears to have made intervention by the CNSAS necessary. The Pesaro station of the National Alpine and Speleological Rescue Corps would therefore have intervened this afternoon, Sunday 26 May 2024. The intervention appears to have been necessary on the “Segui l’Onda” climbing route. The latter would be located in the Balza della Penna area in Pesaro-Urbino.

Based on the information received, it seems that the intervention by the CNSAS was necessary to carry out the recovery of a crashed mountaineer. It would appear that the alarm was raised by his climbing partner. The alarm apparently was made when they were on the third pitch of the route. The injured mountaineer appears to have been reached via air ambulance by the CNSAS technician.

The man, therefore, would have been recovered through the use of the Icaro O2 air ambulance. The recovery would have taken place via a long winch. Subsequently, it seems that the mountaineer was transported to a square below. It seems the doctor was already there waiting for him to provide him with all the necessary medical care.

The air ambulance apparently then made a second round to also recover his climbing partner. The latter would have remained safely tied to the stop the entire time. The injured mountaineer, however, once stabilized on the ground by the crew doctor, would have been brought back on board the helicopter. Through the latter it seems that the man was transferred to the Torrette regional hospital.
