PESARO The tricks in the bag, but another customer had seen it and photographed it. The process closes. The incident dates back to last March when a 35-year-old of South American origin residing in Pesaro, without a criminal record, entered two cosmetics shops in Via Branca and took products from the shelves and then put them in her bag.

She thought she had succeeded without being seen by the shop assistant but the scene was noticed by a customer, behind her, who had taken her mobile phone and photographed the petty thief while she was making packages of foundation and make-up disappear in her purse. When the woman with the bag full of goods left the shop without having paid, the customer showed the photos to the shop assistant who immediately notified the police describing the 35-year-old.

On the run with 500 euros worth of goods

Within a few minutes, the police officer identified the fugitive near the shop with the makeup in her bag and took her to the police station. Here she was searched and the stolen goods came out. Given the value of the stolen goods, around 500 euros, the officers proceeded to arrest the woman.

The woman said she had lost her job in a cleaning company and that she thought that by stealing make-up and cosmetics she could resell them on the web to earn some money. The goods, still intact, had been returned.

The owner of one of the two shops had not filed a complaint, so the trial could not proceed. For the other point of sale, the woman’s lawyer, Alfredo Torsani, presented a compensation offer. So the judge declared there was no place to proceed. The woman will not have convictions.
