The story
In June 2022, DVA had already been the recipient of the precautionary measure of the ban on approaching his ex-partner and cohabitant, mother of their two children, for the crime of domestic abuse issued by the Court of Castrovillari at the request of the Public Prosecutor’s Office. The man, however, had never resigned himself to the separation and thirteen months later he had also implemented a destructive and criminal plan. Arsonist. In fact, having entered the home of her ex and their daughters, he had set it on fire, making it uninhabitable.
It all happened in July 2023 in the Giannone district, an offshoot of the populous Marina di Schiavonea hamlet, in Corigliano-Rossano. The firefighters rushed to put out the flames which rose high into the sky and the police forces also intervened. The facts were followed by the arrest of DVA to whom the precautionary measure of prison was applied, a measure which was also confirmed after the issuing of the conviction issued at the end of a detailed investigation.
