This is the bitter verdict of the return match of the men’s A2 series playout which took place last night in the Lazio pool where the Larian team was called upon to make up for the match lost in the first leg at home by 8-13. Como tried but yesterday’s match also started on an uphill climb and saw him forced to chase the local team’s double lead in the first half. At 3-2 at the end of the third quarter, coach Zimonjic’s team believed in it but Anzio was able to repel the final attacks and close by winning with the minimum advantage. This marks the end of a dark season for Como Nuoto which led to the double relegation of the two senior teams: the men’s team from the A2 and the women’s teams from the A1 series.
