Press conference for training on frescoes at the Corte dei Pastori

This afternoon at 6.00 pm, in the Corte dei Pastori in Matera, the press conference will take place to present the project “Learn art and don’t put it aside”, focused on techniques of

creation of the “buon fresco” or fresco. The event marks the beginning of a training course that will be held from 18 to 24 June and will involve 15 students from the artistic high schools Munari of Crema, Olivieri of Brescia and Levi-Duni of Matera. The “CAMP ART IMMERSION 2024-2025” project, the result of the collaboration between CNA Matera and the Brescian art teacher Claudia Nodari, aims to create an artistic twinning between students from Lombardy and Matera. The objective is to disseminate and pass on to new generations the Buon Fresco painting technique, one of the oldest in the Italian artistic heritage, through practical and multidisciplinary involvement.

The program of the training week includes an inaugural press conference, during which Leonardo Montemurro of the CNA Matera, the art teacher Claudia Nodari, the President of the Zetema Foundation, Avv. Raffaello De Ruggieri, the art historian Cecilia Corradi and the the municipal councilor for productive activities, Arch. Lucia Gaudiano. During the week, students will participate in an intense artistic immersion in the city of Matera, with the aim of deepening fresco techniques and enjoying a complete educational experience.
