DOLORES PRATO AWARD CITY OF TREIA, THE SIXTH FINALIST REVEALED
The awards ceremony will take place on 8 September as part of the Praziana celebrations
The finalist novels of the third edition of the “Dolores Prato – Città di” Literary Prize have been revealed
Treia”: this year there will be six (and not five) books competing, given the tie recorded in
choice phase. The titles are: “STAY WITH ME, SISTER” by Emanuela Canepa – Giulio
Einaudi publisher; “EPIGENETICA” by Cristina Battocletti – The ship of Theseus; “CHRONICLES
PRIVATE” by Valentina Parasecolo –Marsilio E; “IN THE HOUSE NEXT DOOR” by Angela
Giannitrapani – Progedit; “SPILLI” by Greta Olivo – Giulio Einaudi publisher; “THE GIRL
GARBATELLA” by Laura Eduati – Accent editions. The day dedicated to the awards ceremony will be
Sunday 8 September at the municipal theatre, as part of the Praziana celebrations organised
by the Municipality. The prize, we remember, is characterized precisely by its declination to
feminine, putting the spotlight on women’s writing. Designed by the Administration
municipality of Treia, in collaboration with the journalist Lucrezia Sarnari, at the literary prize
works of Italian fiction produced by women writers and published for the were able to compete
first time in period a in paper volume in the period 1 April 2023 – 26 February 2024 and
regularly on the market.
«A level sextuplet with very different novels and authors, both in terms of age and topics covered
– comments Lucrezia Sarnari – which makes us proud of the work done so far and which
comprehensively represents the state of health enjoyed by literature produced by women
in this historical moment. In these three years we have seen the enthusiasm around a grow
award that is slowly maturing without losing sight of its main qualities: care and
attention to readers” concludes Sarnari.
The six finalists will be presented on July 2nd in the Scatola Lilla bookshop in Milan.
