This could be the solution found by Favl Viterbo, the city’s standard bearer, to respond to the public notice announced by Palazzo dei Priori, which expires on Monday 27th.

Favl is considering submitting the application, reserving the right to accept or not, if it is successful, the assignment depending on the state in which the stadium will be found (turf, changing rooms and offices, services etc etc) at the time of signature of the contract. The final decision, therefore, will only arrive when it will be possible to directly evaluate how burdensome the economic commitment would really be, given a single year of assignment, considered too short, for the management of a plant abandoned for some time in neglect.

Little hope for the yellow and blue fans
A little hope is therefore rekindled for the yellow and blue fans, who on Wednesday displayed a very harsh banner towards the Municipality, to which the mayor Chiara Frontini replied that “he must respect the law”. A reply as sacrosanct as it is obvious, but, to be honest, the yellow and blue supporters never asked to violate the rules. Indeed, they asked for a transparent and publicly available tender for the multi-year management of the stadium, which however the Municipality then put on standby.

Furthermore, speaking of respect for the rules, the law itself requires local administrators to take care of community assets such as the Rocchi and the Vincenzo Rossi field. The current critical state of which weighs heavily on the future of city football: in the annual notice, in fact, every cost of ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of the building (the Pilastro pitch is not included) is indicated to be borne by the future manager, but it is a request that is unlikely to be acceptable without even a clarifying FAQ. Hence the idea of a conditional participation by Favl.
