Pesaro, 56 year old hit and killed by a smart car. As we well know, road safety is a vitally important aspect that must always be fulfilled to be effective. A whole series of preventions make it possible to limit road accidents and above all to reduce their drastic consequences. Unfortunately, however, although they depend on various factors, accidents are completely unpredictable events. Let’s see what happened last night in Fano:

Last night, Wednesday 22 May 2024, a 56-year-old woman of Albanian origins was apparently run over and killed. It seems there was another 35-year-old woman driving the car, who tested negative for alcohol. Here are the details of what happened late yesterday evening:

Pesaro, 56-year-old hit and killed by a smart car on the side of the road: here’s how the events unfolded

Referring to the first reconstructions of the case, yesterday evening there was a fatal accident in Fano in the province of Pesaro. It appears that the person who lost her life was a woman of around 56 years of age of Albanian origins. The accident reportedly occurred on Via VI Strada in Bellocchi. The time of the accident appears to be late in the evening; it would appear shortly after 11pm, around 11.15pm on Wednesday 22 May 2024.

According to what was found, it appears that the woman was walking along the right side of the lane before the impact. The woman appears to have been hit by a Smart car. The driver of the latter appears to have been a woman of around 35 years of age, also resident in Fano. The woman appears to have failed to stop in time, overwhelming the 56-year-old. The impact appears to have been so violent that it left the Albanian lady with no escape and she therefore died instantly.

According to initial reconstructions, the driver stopped immediately to provide assistance. Furthermore, she would also have called for medical help, which however would have proved in vain. Cagli traffic police officers intervened promptly at the scene of the accident. The latter apparently ordered the seizure of the Smart car. Furthermore, they subjected the 35-year-old to an alcohol test, which appears to have had a negative result. The Fire Brigade is also on site, whose barracks appear to be not far away. Their intervention seems to have been necessary to better illuminate the area, as public lighting appears to be present but limited by vegetation. Their intervention would have allowed the police officers to carry out all the necessary investigations.
