Marsala, the ACR kids visiting Palazzo VII Aprile

Marsala – On Saturday 18 May the children of the ACR (Catholic Action of Children) of the Sant’Anna parish of Marsala visited the Palazzo VII Aprile, which was opened for them in an extraordinary way on Saturday.

Waiting for them and welcoming them were the councilors Gabriele Di Pietra and Piergiorgio Giacalone and the president of the City Council Vincenzo Sturiano, who answered questions and curiosities of various kinds: from historical and architectural information on the building, to requests on the organization and the dynamics of the City Council, moving from technical curiosities to personal questions about their “political vocation”!

A reciprocated visit and a promise kept in consideration of the fact that the councilors Di Pietra and Giacalone had already met the children in the parish in March and on that occasion, together with the answers to numerous questions, the councilors had proposed a visit to the institutional headquarters of the Council Municipal.

The kids did not spare themselves and with great enthusiasm and participation they lived a precious experience. There was no shortage of proposals from the Acierrini, an expression of their profound desire to see an increasingly cleaner and more beautiful city of Marsala, a city suitable for children who can live in fullness and serenity (they ask for more bins, more places to go and play , but also more commitment from fellow citizens).

The meeting and collaboration between institutions and training agencies (Parish and Municipality in this case, but in general also with educational institutions) represent an added value in the global educational growth of the new generations and it is important to encourage and share them.

The young people of the Parish who engage in dialogue with the Municipal Institutions are an expression of how to be good Christians, it also implies being good citizens and to do this we must not wait to “grow up”… today’s small citizens can be witnesses of a style of care for our territory and our splendid Marsala and also, we hope, a driver of positive change capable of infecting the whole city.

The journey of the children of the Sant’Anna Parish, both of the ACR and of the catechesis, will end with the final Encounters celebration on Saturday 25 May in Piazza Porticella. Occasion in which the Parish will donate to the territory the olive tree that symbolically accompanied the entire associative and catechetical year, a sign of love for creation and commitment to shared care.
