After Nada’s performance at the Toselli Theater and the evocative nocturnal concert by Edmondo Romano in San Francesco on Thursday 23 May, the fourth edition of the “City in notes. The music of places” exhibition continues which, until 27 May, will animate Cuneo with over 30 musical events.

Tomorrow, Friday 24 May, at 5.30 pm, in the courtyard of the former Bono nursery school, in a small space with centuries-old trees in the heart of the historic center of Cuneo, the APM School Orchestra of Saluzzo will perform with the wind quintet “Obiettivo Orchestra” in a classical repertoire. In case of bad weather the concert will be held at Sala San Giovanni (via Roma 4). Before and after the show it will be possible to freely visit the courtyard and the editorial office of the local newspaper La Guida as part of the “Note di Verde” project in collaboration with the Società Orticola del Piemonte – Festival del Verde.

At 7pm, at the Monumental Complex of San Francesco, the Youth Orchestra of the Academia Montis Regalis and the Children’s Choir of the AMR School System will perform “Sacred and profane in the Salzburg of musical classicism”. The program is dedicated to the immortal notes of WA Mozart and M. Haydn for soloists, choir and orchestra and will conclude with the Missa sub titulo Sancti Leopoldi by Michael Haydn for soloists, female choir and orchestra. Conducting the young talents of the Academia Montis Regalis will be Maestro Luigi Pagliarini, musical director of the Guardassoni Theater in Bologna and director of the Adorno Ensemble of Reggio Emilia, the Estense Choir of Montecchio Emilia and the Reggio Children’s Choir.

At 9.30 pm, again at the Monumental Complex of San Francesco, Nataša Mirković, voice and percussion and Michel Godard, serpentone and electric bass, combine the Italian music of the 16th and 17th centuries with the traditional music of Bosnia, Macedonia, Kosovo and Croatia, communicating with their improvisations and original compositions. A game between ancient and modern capable of enchanting the listener.

All events are free to enter while places last. Reservation recommended onfondazioneartea.org. “Cities in notes. Music in places” is conceived and promoted by the Artea Foundation with the Municipality of Cuneo under the artistic direction of Claudio Carboni assisted by Carlo Maver.
