Modern and conscious teaching, where technology and environmental education come together to prepare the new generations for a more sustainable future. It was an immersive initiative around the themes of digital education and environmental sustainability that was held yesterday at the Mother Teresa Primary School in Calcutta. Here, in the presence of the Headmaster of IC Alighieri, Emanuele Pirrottina, the presentation to the fifth grade classes of the educational video game ‘Sea Adventure’ took place, which aims to integrate sustainability issues into school classrooms through innovative digital tools.

The video game was developed during the BluECOnomy Off Days, launched in November last year on the occasion of Ecomondo as part of the ‘Rimini Blue Lab’, a project financed with European funds from the Emilia-Romagna Region. In this context, secondary school students, thanks to the technical support of Indici Opponibili, experts in the development of video games and digital media, transformed ideas into reality. The design laboratory allowed young people to create a video game that not only entertains but educates, focusing on the issues of the blue economy and marine ecology. ‘Sea Adventure’ offers an interactive approach to learning, allowing students to explore and understand the importance of marine sustainability. Available on the Rimini Blue Lab website, the game is intended as a teaching resource for teachers and students, as well as for all those interested in ecology and sustainability.
