TRIESTE – The Judicial Police Unit of the local police of Trieste has arrested three men and kidnapped them two kilos of hashish during a service to prevent and combat drug trafficking in sensitive areas of the city. The operation dates back to last Friday. According to a reconstruction, the officers focused their attention on two men who were initially stopped near a car parked in the area of the former fair, then moved away in opposite directions. Shortly afterwards one of the two gave two blocks of hashish, equal to 250 grams of substance, to a third man. The two were stopped and identified; the man who sold the bricks had almost 7 thousand euros with him, probable profit from the sale of the narcotic. Inside the vehicle, hidden in a bag inside a box, another 1,500 grams of hashish divided into one-hundred blocks were found. Subsequently, the other man involved was also identified and a further 200 grams of hashish already packaged in blocks were found in his home. The three men were then arrested.
