The Municipality, through a City Council resolution promoted unanimously, has chosen to join the Housing Pact of the “Emilia-Romagna Region”, also approving the draft agreement with Acer Ferrara which will be the entity appointed to act as mediator between real estate supply and demand. With the Housing Pact, in fact, the objective is to provide support for the rental of people belonging to the so-called “intermediate group”, i.e. those families in fragile conditions but who do not have access to public housing. First of all, therefore, this project aims to introduce new accommodation on the rent-controlled rental market, encouraging property owners through specific measures and guarantees also in relation to any arrears by tenants or in support of the payment of legal expenses following notices of eviction. Illustrating the proposal before the meeting was the deputy mayor with responsibility for social services, Francesca Piacentini, who highlighted how Bondeno is among the very first municipalities in the provincial territory to formally join the Housing Pact, having already signed an agreement with Acer which will also play the role of intermediation “agency” between owner and tenant. This project does not involve any cost for the municipal coffers, given the regional financing that the Municipality will transfer directly to Acer in various tranches disbursed on the basis of the reports in which the effective use of the economic resources must be demonstrated. Given that the Housing Pact is aimed at people in the so-called “intermediate range”, the criteria for evaluating the best match between occupiable accommodation and the family unit to be included in it will take into account first of all the ISEE, but also the number of minors present in the family, the presence or absence of disabled people with a degree of disability greater than 67%, of young couples with at least one member under the age of 35 and finally of the seniority of the application. Furthermore, in the family unit requesting accommodation there must be at least one person who receives income from self-employment or from a permanent or fixed-term contract of at least six months (the mayor in the photo).
