“Failed administration and split majority”

“While since 2024 the mayor and councilors have seen their service allowances increase dramatically to over 8 thousand euros gross, without this representing anything positive in terms of effectiveness in administrative action towards the citizens of Andria, we have witnessed a terrible show in the last City Council”, underlines in a note the city Commissioner of Fratelli d’Italia, Dr. Sabino Napolitano.

“There are two incontrovertible facts: on the entrustment of cemetery services to Multiservice, the Administration’s line has been disavowed and within the majority itself, and precisely within the PD, the situation is one of profound personal and political crisis. Just think of the bickering in room (and apparently also outside the room) between the mayor Bruno and the president of the City Council Vurchio, first of all it must be clarified that the resolution to entrust the cemetery services to Multiservice – which we agree with if this means improvement of the services to users – was completely amended by the proposing Office itself, as well as entirely amended by the City Council itself which evidently considered the proposal to be unacceptable project financing aimed at the construction of new noble chapels and the Crematorium Temple by private entities. In fact, a resounding rejection of the political line of the Bruno Administration.
Another topic that created confusion, and we don’t really understand why, was the presentation of an urgent agenda aimed at asking for greater transparency and more rotation in the assignment of professional roles. An agenda that we hope can be discussed and approved in the next City Council. The fact that the president of the City Council Vurchio was also among the signatories and was rejected, in the emergency, by the mayor Bruno denotes a further clear and clear rift between the Council and the Executive. Fratelli d’Italia considers this motion absolutely legitimate and hopes that the discussion in the chamber on the topic can be as exhaustive as possible so that citizens also understand the Administration’s real commitment to transparency and external assignments”.
