Florence, 22 May 2024. The award for the best pitch in the Serie C NOW goes to Benevento. In Mantua and Cesena the recognition for groups A and B, in Novara the prize for the best synthetic turf.
The quality of the playing fields, assessed and voted by the Can C referees, allowed the clubs to obtain the award established by Lega Pro, which in the last year has paid great attention to the theme of playing fields.
The award was presented by the General Secretary of the Lega Pro, Emanuele Paolucci, to the president of Benevento Calcio, Oreste Vigorito, on the occasion of the Playoff match between the home team and Torres.
The commitment of Serie C, in recent times, is demonstrated by the collaboration with important university research centers and by the meetings organized on the topic of plant engineering. “On many occasions we have addressed the issue of pitches and stadiums as it is the main factor for the beauty of the game on the pitch and is a business card of the clubs. We have invested, as Serie C NOW, time and resources to raise awareness among companies towards improving structures. This development represents a victory, but we must continue on this path” – says president Matteo Marani.
