The project ‘Home radiology, in light of the Application of Ministerial Decree 77/22: integration with the telemedicine platform and with the electronic health record’, active in the Trasimeno District, could soon be extended to other Local Health Districts as well Umbria 1.

The project, which has the director of the Trasimeno District Emilio Paolo Abbritti as its scientific director, is achieving excellent results and was created with a dual objective: to contribute to the plan to reduce waiting lists and to allow radiographic tests to be carried out at the homes of all subjects with objective difficulties in mobilization and hospital transfer such as, for example, disabled patients, terminally ill cancer patients, subjects to serious neurological diseases, serious post-trauma patients and those recovering from surgery, as well as Rsa guest users (Assisted healthcare residences) and/or Rp (Protected residences). Strongly desired by the Umbria Region, it was started in collaboration with the Department of Services and the Diagnostic Imaging structure of the Umbria 1 Local Health Authority directed by Valter Papa, and has the aim of reducing direct/indirect costs for medical transport by car medicalised, social costs for caregivers and strengthening Adi (integrated home care) pathways. It can be activated at the request of the general practitioner and radiological diagnostic services are carried out at the user’s home.

The Trasimeno service was not the only one awarded, other professionals from the Umbria 1 local health authority received recognition for having contributed to the realization of other projects. The Perugino District, directed by Barbara Blasi, was the protagonist with an award given at the conference ‘Controvento: navigating the sea of adolescence’, whose scientific contact was the psychologist Roberta Alagna. The training event, which saw the presence of a renowned professional expert in adolescence, was carried out in collaboration with the Municipality of Perugia (leader), the Umbria 1 Local Health Authority, the Youth Services Center of the Municipality of Perugia and the Single Regional Training Center, represented by Mara Fabrizio (training contact for the Umbria 1 local health authority).

Manuel Monti, director of the Emergency Department of the Branca hospital, was also present at the meeting in Genoa, as scientific contact together with Fernando Capuano (president of Simedet – Italian Society of Diagnostic and Therapeutic Medicine) of the “National Congress on Biosafety” project . Accompanying him was Maria Grazia Carmio, IFP contact person for the “Single Training Center Activities” of the Umbria 1 local health authority.
