ShankyQuad Club is an association that deals with disabilities and architectural barriers, founded in 2009 and is very active in the Veliterno area and beyond. Also very active in social and healthcare given the countless tools purchased for the city of Velletri such as, for example, armchairs for the pediatric department and electro-medical machinery for the Emergency Surgery and Medicine, even during the Covid period Shanky donated overalls, visors, gloves and protective masks for the staff of the Paolo Colombo Hospital. But not only that, the same association donated 8 defibrillators to the Municipality of Velletri, with attached columns and display cases to make our city cardio-protected.
The most important project, however, remains that of the disabled transport service given on loan to the Municipality, remained in operation for a year and then interrupted for various reasons. Now the association has regained possession of the Fiat Doblò, has started again in a great way with already several services both in Velletri and in the 21 municipalities of the ASL RM6. The service is available to all residents of the municipality (Velletri).
The service is completely free and the user can be accompanied by a family member or friend together with the volunteer driver of the minibus. It is equipped with a defibrillator and wheelchair platform. The staff is reliable and friendly, so that those who use it can feel at ease.
