At the center of the phone call was the decision to maintain for a further six months controls along the common border, also following the increased level of attention in relation to the Italian rotating presidency of the G7.

«As always – Piantedosi declared – the control methods will be implemented in such a way as to cause the least possible impact on cross-border circulation and goods traffic. For our part, there is a desire to share effective solutions that will allow us to return to free and safe circulation. Our technical offices – concluded Piantedosi – are working in the right direction, we have built a virtuous cooperation model and a new trilateral meeting between Italy, Croatia and Slovenia is scheduled soon».
