TMW Radio
An exciting challenge full of twists and turns. In the end, Vis Pesaro won 4-3 against Recanatese in the Serie C playouts and achieved salvation. To tell the emotion of that challenge to the microphones of TMW Radio during the transmission To All C one of the protagonists of Vis Pesaro spoke, Stefano Rossoni
Did you breathe a big sigh of relief after the playout?
“Yes, by now we were almost no longer hoping for a 3-3. We found ourselves in a paradoxical situation in the last four minutes, we found the winning goal and it was a very strong emotion.”
Can you tell us about the emotions and sensations as soon as the match finished?
“I think there was a liberating scream and a sense of total liberation, it was a tough and tiring year. We were full of head, hearing the final whistle after the goal was a liberation. Finding ourselves in a match where there was talk of a possible 0-0 and instead there were all these emotions was almost a shock. Fortunately, however, it went well and we are happy.”
Have you seen the images of the salvation party on social media with a goat invading the pitch?
“The goat is the mascot of one of our historic fans, I was used to seeing it but I think we didn’t experience a pitch invasion like that even when we won Serie D. Evidently there was a sense of liberation throughout the fans. Pesaro is a beautiful place, it was enough to see the stadium full in the playouts after such a difficult season and they made the difference.”
Will your future still be at Vis Pesaro?
“At this moment I tried to free myself mentally after the playout, it was a tough year. I haven’t had the opportunity to have serious contact with other clubs, for me, being from Pesaro, it would be a pride and an honor to remain in this club, if I were to stay it would be the tenth year. If this should not be the case, then I will evaluate other proposals.”
