Aprilia Racing returns to the Circuit de Barcelona Catalunya for the sixth GP of the season. The track evokes great memories for the Noale manufacturer which last year dominated with two victories for Aleix and two podiums for Maverick, with the historic double in the long race. Maverick Viñales is ready to fight in the top positions after another solid performance at Le Mans, with the podium in the sprint. A particularly encouraging result ahead of the weekend in Montmeló, where last year he finished third in the sprint and second in the race. Aleix Espargaró is determined to demonstrate his worth on his home track, the Spanish driver last year was the author of a perfect weekend, winning both the sprint and the Sunday race.

The Circuit de Barcelona Catalunya is a very technical track, where cornering is decisive. The first braking section is also important, one of the most challenging in the MotoGP, also thanks to the 1,047 meter straight that precedes it.

MAVERICK VIÑALES:Montmeló is a track that I like, I have many good memories. When I am here I think of Luis Salom and he is a great motivation for me. It’s my home race, my whole fan club is there, so it’s a track where I want to do well. We are ready and prepared to have a good weekend. The mentality is to stay focused to do well and be able to give your best“.

ALEIX ESPARGARÓ:Barcelona is a track that I really like, it’s my home race. The track suits my style very well because there are fast corners and there are no very slow hairpins. It’s a track where the bike works well. Last year was the best weekend of my life, it won’t be easy to repeat it, but we will try to do our best and get back to the front“.
