Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni spoke again at the Vox convention and expressed herself clearly on the problem of Europe as a tired continent. For this reason, those of 8 and 9 June will be “decisive elections”: “A change in Europe is possible if European conservatives are united. We are the engine of the renaissance of our continent”, declared the leader of the Brothers of Italy via video link. “For the first time – she added – the outcome of the European elections could mark the end of unnatural and counterproductive majorities”. Starting from this speech, the director of Euromedia Research Alessandra Ghisleri analyzed the way in which the Prime Minister communicates with Italians and future voters.

“It goes straight to people’s hearts, it goes straight to people and says ‘I am like you’ ‘I am Giorgia, you are Paola, Francesca…You can communicate with me directly. And this is an excellent way of communicating because she forms an even stronger bond between those who respect her, her supporters, and others”, explained the pollster in connection with the Tagadà study. The “real issue”, continued Ghisleri, is to try to maintain this openness towards others over time. “The moment you open an opening, the requests come. The questions must have answers. These elections will be important because they ask questions and requests, but then they will want answers. In theory, for another three and a half years there will be no will vote again. There will no longer be this pressing need”, he added, and then suggested that institutional figures protect themselves with “filters that can redirect requests to the relevant offices”.
