The Court of Padua issued today four convictionsincluding the president of the plant, for the accident at the Acciaierie VeneteIn Padova, which in 2018 caused the death of two workers, Sergiu Todita and Marian Bratu. Prosecutor Marco Brusegan had asked for the seven defendantsaccused in various capacities of homicide and negligent injury, workplace safety violations, two acquittals and four convictions for a total of over eleven years (for Giampietro Benedetti, who died during the trial, the crime was declared extinct).
