Baroni’s team beat Arechi 2-1 yesterday, completing the miracle of salvation, achieved with a round to spare. After a dominated first quarter of the match against Salernitana, Hellas took the lead thanks to Suslov. In added time in the first half, Folorunsho scored an encore. At the start of the second half Noslin missed the knockout blow twice, Folorunsho grabbed a post and Maggiore reopened it in the 90th minute but it wasn’t enough: Verona won and remained in Serie A.
