Acquired skills on the High Capacity Pumping – Hcp module for hydrogeological emergencies and on new technologies to support dog and horse units
MAGIONE 20 May 2024 – Days of exercises and training for the volunteers of the Misericordia di Magione, some of whom were able to acquire the necessary skills to be able to use the High Capacity Pumping – Hcp module, – an innovative decomposable water pumping system supplied to the national protection system civil of the Misericordie d’Italia, – in the training held in Alessandria in memory of the flood that occurred thirty years ago.
The dog and horse units instead participated in the “Emergency Ready” exercises, together with over one hundred volunteers from all over Italy, which took place in Acquasparta.
There are three volunteers from the Misericordia di Magione who, together with the Emergency Area of the Misericordie d’Italia and the volunteers from Piedmont, participated in the training course on the use of a new pumping system which allows them to intervene even in very complex situations , both in the event of floods and fires.
Filippo Rigucci, head of the Civil Protection sector of the Misericordia di Magione, and the volunteers Croitoriu Dumitru and Sauro Ragni were thus able to acquire the necessary skills to be able to use the High Capacity Pumping – Hcp module, an innovative decomposable water pumping system supplied to the national protection system civil of the Misericordie d’Italia. The vehicle allows you to pump and transport up to one million liters of water per hour over a kilometer away from the intervention site. Around fifty volunteers were involved in its management.
The dog and horse rescue units, capable of intervening in places inaccessible to normal emergency vehicles and represented by Cristian Bonella, have instead also dealt with new technologies, such as radio and drones, useful for identifying the places in which to intervene .
