A (partial) lifesaver is on the way for companies in the Calabrian construction sector after the latest unwelcome news on the Superbonus side. Following the recent approval by the Council, the law providing for “Interventions for the transfer of tax credits deriving from the energy efficiency of the building stock” was published in the Official Bulletin of the Region. The provision provides that regional public economic bodies – such as Sacal, the Single Reclamation Consortium and the Agency for the Development of Industrial Areas – and the investee companies controlled by it, can purchase tax credits deriving from building interventions carried out by companies with registered office and operational in the regional territory and in reference to properties located in the same territory. This is a measure designed to alleviate financial difficulties of those companies which, after having applied the discount on the invoice and acquired the related tax credit pursuant to Legislative Decree 34/2020, are unable to monetise it due to the congestion of the credit transfer system.
By the end of June the Regional Council will have to define the implementation methods of the law, also including the activation of an online platform for monitoring credit transfers.
