There are about twenty days left until the doors of “From Caserta”, the brand new Festival of territoriality. From from the afternoon of May 31st and for entire days of June 1st and 2nd it will transform the Maria Carolina Gardens, a 9000 m2 park near the Royal Palace of Caserta, into an open-air experiential village.
Various areas will be set up, each dedicated to different activities but all referring to any taste and age of users. There will be an area completely dedicated to “Sport”, with performances, workshops, “first steps” courses and games. An area dedicated to “Game”, tournaments, board games and comics. A vast area is then dedicated to the entire holistic world, and you can experience a Shiatsu, Reiki or foot reflexology treatment, practice Tai Chi, talk about healthy eating or take part in yoga or meditation lessons. Many workshops are dedicated to children and adolescents on reading, recycling, knowledge of emotions, body awareness, creative play, knowledge of foreign languages and drawing. From it will also host the record and vinyl fair in a shaded area where you can listen to vinyl, buy them, exchange them, or simply have fun seeing the thousands of covers on offer. In addition to collecting, there will also be many artisans and creatives exhibiting their creations. For lovers of good food, oenology, craft beer, there will be the area CeGusto which will offer its own caravan of food trucks, restaurants on wheels, to guarantee a vast selection of delicacies in a street food version from lunch to dinner. No one will be left out From. A green area will be dedicated to four-legged friends, where they can participate in workshops, or simply walk with their pet in places dedicated to them.
At sunset From it will transform into an open-air circus. Juggling and circus shows will transport adults and children into a daydream. The “Show” area with vinyl DJ sets will prepare the right atmosphere for the evening concerts. Artists such as Luca Rossi, La Maschera, ‘O Zulù’ of 99 Posse, Tharumbò and his bottara art will hold concerts for the thousands of expected visitors.
«We are organizing a festival never seen before in the city», says Tommaso Zottolo, one of the organizers of From. Zottolo continues: «I am sure that, in addition to being a source of pride for Caserta, it will help to attract thousands of visitors along the routes we have organized with groups of Caserta bikers also in many places in the city, such as the Circolo Nazionale, the historic center and the villages such as San Leucio and Casertavecchia, where events organized by Pro Loco and private individuals will await them. Armando Rispoli, creator and artistic director of From Caserta used these words to describe the reason for such an experiential festival: «We absolutely need to reinvent new spaces and a new way of being together: there are emergencies regarding marginalization, cultural poverty, self-knowledge, awareness of their own emotions and those of others, which are causing considerable damage to society and putting our tomorrow to the test. Our young people, the future adults, are the ones who are most suffering this annihilation and we current adults cannot remain helpless. We must create alternative containers and contents. This is why – continues Rispoli – that a festival like From wants to remind us of the possibility of having fun using constructive ways of socializing and also intends to become a reminder of how many realities in our territory, every day, work with passion and enthusiasm to provide alternatives. «We want to thank the true protagonists of this event, that is, the dozens of associations and institutions from Caserta that will animate it for three days from morning to evening From Caserta»

From Caserta will try to be attentive to the theme of ecology, recycling, through reuse workshops to develop the sensitivity of the little ones, the organization of a strategic separate collection within the Park and the production of reusable festival glasses, in contrast to the “disposable”, by precious partners such as Gruppo La California and D’Alterio Group, sponsors sensitive to the issue of ecology.
And Zottolo concludes «Thanks to the Municipality of Caserta and Confcommercio who have given us their trust for years and encourage us to continue planning quality moments like this for our citizens». For the entire event, moral patronage was requested from the Municipality of Caserta.
Entrance to the park will be free from 11am to 6pm to allow citizens and thousands of tourists to freely enjoy the gardens and the busy festival programme. In the evening, as the shows increase, the cost of entry will become €3. Tickets can be purchased from online channels such as Etes, Ticketone or Go2 or directly at the festival box office.
