Trento – A new minimum hourly determination of activity, which is adequate to guarantee both the quality of the experience carried out and its effectiveness, in compliance with the objectives of the school-work alternation, strengthened in its orientation nature.

These are, in summary, the objectives of the resolution approved today by the Provincial Council, upon proposal of the Vice President.


Starting from the 2024/2025 school year, a remodulation of the minimum number of hours of school-work alternation paths in education paths will therefore be implemented, which will go from 400 to 250 hours in technical and professional institutes and from 200 to 150 hours in high schools. , including orientation activities carried out in the last three years.

Following the numerous discussions carried out by the Vice President with the educational institutions, the representatives of the different categories of hosting entities (companies, associations, bodies, institutions, freelancers) and the students through the Provincial Council, the Provincial Council, on the proposal of the Vice President and Councilor for Education, has redetermined the minimum number of hours of school-work alternation, setting it at 250 hours in technical and professional institutes and 150 hours in high schools. We wanted to pay attention to the importance of transversal skills and orientation, establishing that the orientation activities carried out in the last three years will be included among the alternation activities, and postponing the approval of the general guidelines on ASL to a new resolution for the Province of Trento, for which the department has already started a process that goes in that direction.

This new measure is determined considering that among the priority objectives of the present legislature there is on the one hand that of an increasingly professionalizing and orienting school, for which the school-work alternation system is fundamental as a means of connection between businesses and territories, on the other hand that of guaranteeing, with the new time consistency, increasingly congruity with the scholastic path, quality of the experience carried out and its effectiveness.
