One of the most alarming phenomena is that of the solicitation of gay adults by ill-intentioned people.
These are groups of kids who replicate a typical method of neo-Nazi groups active in homophobic countries: you open a fake profile on grindr, you lure a gay adult, you arrange to meet him in a place. Once there, the boy together with his accomplices beats and robs the man. In some it even leads to torture, blackmail and extortion.
During the last twelve months an identical incident of this type has occurred in Treviso, Florence, Perugia, Trapani, L’Aquila and Foggia.
In other cases, the contact always took place through dating apps, but the deception was carried out by only one person. There is also the technique of approaching directly on the street when the group of attackers becomes very large. In one of the trials relating to these events, the torturers defended themselves by claiming that the raids were punitive, considering the victims to be pedophiles.
Crimes that rarely emerge for victims to report. In the vast majority of cases, victims choose to remain untraceable.
