CALTANISSETTA. “Adequate and constantly updated healthcare training allows healthcare workers to possess the necessary skills to provide quality care, safety to patients and to deal with emergency situations in which to intervene promptly. The continuous training of health professionals has always been the mission of CEFPAS which provides numerous training courses every year” states the Director of the Centre, Roberto Sanfilippo, on the occasion of the conference “The ordained health professional”, organized by the Order of Technicians of medical radiology and technical health professions, rehabilitation and prevention (TSRM and PSTRP) of the Provinces of Caltanissetta and Agrigento in collaboration with CEFPAS, which opened yesterday and ends today.
Explaining the dual objective of the two days is Vincenzo Santoro, President of the TSRM and PSTRP Caltanissetta and Agrigento Order and scientific manager of the event (together with Lucia Intruglio, President of the National Register Commission of Orthoptists of the FNO TSRM and PSTRP) who explains : “On the one hand we want to provide in-depth information to the members of the governing councils and register commissions of the TSRM and PSTRP Orders of Sicily on the administrative, accounting, regulatory and procedural aspects in the management of this public law body; on the other hand, registered professionals belonging to the 19 profiles are allowed to understand the central role of this self-governing institution of professions recognized by law in protecting citizens by guaranteeing them quality standards in prevention, diagnostic and rehabilitation services carried out by professionals regularly qualified following a specific academic course of study”.
Law 3 of 2018, “Delegation to the government regarding clinical trials of medicinal products as well as provisions for the reorganization of healthcare professions and for the healthcare management of the Ministry of Health”, established the Order of healthcare technicians of medical radiology and professions technical health, rehabilitation and prevention (TSRM and PSTRP Order) and the related National Federation, to which 19 professional profiles belong, and 59 territorial Orders, to which over 155 thousand health and socio-health professionals are registered.
Teresa Calandra, National President of the FNO TSRM and PSTRP, speaks about the importance of the work of multidisciplinary, multi- and interprofessional teams: “It is essential to encourage the work of multidisciplinary, multi- and interprofessional teams, in order to improve the quality and greater efficiency of services to citizens and to ensure complete and continuous assistance to people with an interprofessional approach that respects the entire process of taking charge, from developmental age to adulthood. This process must be connected to the evolution of professional profiles which passes from the necessary coherence between skills and new health needs, technological innovation, the degree of dynamism and flexibility, the ability to integrate into interdisciplinary and interprofessional processes and activities, managing responsibly the common areas of intervention and the acts whose ownership is or can be shared. Our positioning document on the evolution of professional profiles recently approved by the national register commissions and the Orders was created in this direction”.
Lucia Intruglio, President of the National Register Commission of Orthoptists of the FNO TSRM and PSTRP and scientific director of the conference, added: “We are very satisfied with the great participation, a sign that knowing our complex institution and the enormous documentary heritage produced is a desire shared. Making it happen at CEFPAS can only benefit the cohesion and growth of the community and enhance individuals in the interest of the people”.
