Then he lashed out at a woman sitting outside a grocery store, at whom he began brandishing a chair and threatening to throw it at her. Another afternoon of ordinary madness under the “Cisa” tunnel, in via Cairoli in Latina, at the end of which an illegal foreigner in Italy was reported by the police and repatriated to his country of origin.
The attack occurred between 12 and 12.30 two days ago, a stone’s throw from Viale Don Morosini, one of the most problematic areas of the city and often the scene of such incidents. The protagonist, this time, is a man of African origin, who was in a point of the Cisa gallery where several homeless people often stop to consume alcohol or other things. On Friday one of them, illegally in Italy, took it out on the doorman on one of the stairs of the building.
An argument that arose for trivial reasons, as told by the witnesses, at the end of which the foreigner attacked him, hitting him with his fist. At that point the people who were there intervened to help him, including the owner of a grocery store selling Eastern European products located under the tunnel, who defended the doorman together with her sister.
And it was precisely against the latter that the man lashed out, grabbing a chair that was in front of the shop and threatening to throw it at her. Luckily the woman, a young woman of Ukrainian origin, did not suffer serious injuries, but only a lot of fright. In the meantime, an employee had called the single emergency number 112, with the report reaching the police station which immediately sent a patrol from the Flying Squad. When officers arrived they found the man still there, apparently calm.
A face, his, which is not new to the local police forces, due to the numerous similar precedents of which he has been the protagonist over time. After being made to board one of the panthers and transferred to the police headquarters for identification procedures, the latter was reported for the crime of battery. Not only that, given that the subsequent police investigations made it possible to highlight the lack of legitimate qualifications for his stay on the national territory, causing the immigration office to activate the procedures aimed at accompanying him to the detention center for repatriation in Bari. .
Transferred to Puglia by the Pontine police on the same Friday evening, the man spent the last hours there for subsequent administrative activities, useful for his return to his country of origin. A result resulting from the collaboration between the Flying team and the immigration office, which sees the police from the Latina police station constantly engaged in combating the permanence of irregular foreigners in Italy. Many of whom, in Latina, usually wander between Viale Don Morosini and Via Cairoli, in particular on the sides of the Pennacchi gallery and under the Cisa gallery, where residents tell of a now generalized degradation and of an alarming situation with which they are forced to do the math every day.
Just last week the men of the new police commissioner Fausto Vinci had to intervene in the Pennacchi tunnel because another foreigner had gone mad for no apparent reason.
