No news in the director’s department for Lorenzo Bernardi’s Igor Volley, who after Francesca Bosio also confirms Valentina Bartolucci: the twenty-one year old director from the Marche region will live her second consecutive season in Novara after leading the Italian team to success in the Wevza Cup and then alternating with excellent results in the department colleague during the year. At the moment she is busy with the Italian junior national team, which will compete in the European category championships in Puglia at the beginning of July.
Enrico Marchioni (general manager Igor Gorgonzola Novara): “Valentina continued, during the past season, an important growth path which saw her win the B1 championship with our second team entirely made up of under 18s, and then live two very positive years in Serie A2. Her impact with the top flight has been excellent, she has confirmed that she is a specialist in her role, already reliable and courageous despite her very young age, always offering a valid alternative in times of need and actively contributing to keeping the level of training. Now we expect that we can take a further step forward next season.”

We reconfirmed athletes will have the task of transmitting the harmony of the existing group to the new ones as well as the enthusiasm that distinguishes us. I am very motivated, we want to make the Novara audience become fond of us like in the last season, in which they gave us energy and support in every single moment. Now I’m focused on the approach to the Junior European Championship in July, then I can’t wait to dive back into the blue of Igor Volley; goals? Get as high as possible. The CEV will be a high-level competition, a prestigious stage in which we will be called to question ourselves and do well, to get as far as possible.”
