The Municipality will entrust the Nicoletti stadium, but at a high price. After the exit of the president of Riccione United, Pasquale Cassesse, critical of the tensions that are being created in the city’s football world and attentive to the future tender of the stadium in which he intends to participate, the documents of the municipal administration speak for themselves. “Within next week – specifies the councilor for Sport Simone Imola – we will complete all the technical documentation, then the tender for the Nicoletti sports facility can be released”. In reality, most of the characteristics of the tender have already been decided as reported in the council resolution of May 13th. In particular, there is a barrier that causes the ‘cost’ of the concession to skyrocket to hundreds of thousands of euros. The Municipality intends to entrust the facility if whoever takes it over commits to redoing the anti-stadium pitch in artificial synthetic grass with new LED lighting. Since it is a field measuring 100 by fifty meters and needs to be approved, the Municipality is clear on this too, the investment that the sports club will have to undertake will be important. A similar system weighs hundreds of thousands of euros. To avoid the risk that the winner of the tender will let time pass and leave after a few years without having done anything, one of the conditions is that work on the camp starts immediately. To allow the company that won the tender to be able to amortize the investment, the administration has established that the concession for the plant will have a duration of 14 years.
