The 49th edition of the 100km del Passatore, valid for assigning the national absolute and Fidal 2024 master titles of the 100km road specialty, was presented at 11am today, Thursday 16 May, in the Bigari hall of the Municipality of Faenza. The press conference was attended by the Faenza Sports Councilor Martina Laghi, the President of the Asd 100 km del Passatore Giordano Zinzani, the President of the Faenza Local Committee of the BCC Carlo Dalmonte, the President of the Romagna Wine Consortium Roberto Monti, the President of the Faenza-Russi members area council of Coop Alleanza 3.0 Ilaria Visani and representatives of the sponsors. The “Passatore” 2024 is promoted and organized by the Faenza association 100 km del Passatore together with the support of the sports group. The support of Uoei, Admo, Csen and Cai, the Consorzio Vini di Romagna, the Municipalities of Faenza, Florence, Fiesole, Borgo San Lorenzo, Marradi and Brisighella, the Emilia-Romagna and Tuscany Regions, the Province of Ravenna and the Metropolitan City is fundamental from Florence. Cento 2024 is also made possible by Faenza C’entro and Unione Romagna Faentina. Many voluntary associations and health services lend their service to the realization of the events organized by the Asd 100 km del Passatore: 21 refreshment points, 18 health points and 12 massage points. As per tradition in recent years, Consorzio Vini di Romagna wanted to combine the slogan “the streets of Sangiovese” with the event, in homage to the roads traveled by the participants along the route that links Tuscany to Romagna, lands where the “Sangiovese” vine is grown and from which high quality wines such as Chianti (in Tuscany) and Sangiovese (in Romagna) are made. The departure of the 49th 100km del Passatore will take place on Saturday 25 May from Piazza del Duomo at 3pm. Approximately ten days before the start there are over 3300 registered participants. Among these there are 392 competitors from Romagna (of which 180 from Faenza), 430 from Tuscany (of which 80 from Florence), 683 women, 670 debutants and over 120 athletes from 32 foreign nations.
