With the arrival of summer, the Prato Cultura Cooperative offers a new cycle of guided tours which will be held in the evenings in the months of June and July. Between aperitifs, ice creams and masterpieces, this unique initiative will offer participants the opportunity to explore the art and culture of the cities of Prato, Florence and Pistoia in an innovative and evocative way.

Here are all the routes:

Artful aperitif! – Prato Cultura offers a dive into the history and art of Prato, through a series of guided tours called Artful aperitif! which will involve the participants in an aperitif in the historic squares of the city. Together with local appetizers and a good drink, the secrets of the city whose history or importance not everyone knows will be revealed. The two appointments are at 8pm Tuesday 25 June in Piazza Duomo And Tuesday 23 July in Buonamici Square. An excellent opportunity to combine the pleasure of an aperitif with the discovery of local culture in a friendly and convivial atmosphere. The cost of these guided tours is €25 including the aperitif.

Sweet steps –Together with Prato Cultura it is possible to visit the squares of Prato in an unusual way: with an artisanal ice cream, to be enjoyed while walking among the historical beauties, discovering a side of Prato that you don’t know. A dynamic and fun guided tour, also perfect for families. Also at 9pm, visits Sweet steps will be held Wednesday 19 June in Town Hall Squarein Piazza delle Carceri on Wednesday 3 July and finally in Mercatale SquareWednesday 17 July. The cost of these guided tours is €18 including ice cream.

Guided tours BY NIGHT – Prato Cultura offers unique visits to escape the heat and enjoy the beauty of the area. From 9pm it is possible to discover the masterpieces of the cities of Prato, Florence and Pistoia while taking advantage of the cool evening air, at a cost of 15 euros. BY NIGHT visits are an opportunity to see places that would otherwise be difficult to visit in the summer heat. TO Lawnthe first visit will take place Thursday 13 June to the campanile of”former convent of Saint Dominicone of the most precious monuments of the city; Thursday 27 June on the cbell tower of the Cathedral from which it is possible to enjoy a suggestive view of the illuminated city. In Florence Wednesday 26 June in Piazza della Signoria you can admire Palazzo Vecchio, the Loggia dei Lanzi and the sculptures that made Florence the cradle of the Renaissance, all illuminated by a soft light that adds a touch of mystery; Wednesday 10 July it will be possible to see the city of Florence from Piazzale Michelangeloto discover the secrets of one of the most famous panoramic points in the world. Finally, the program includes a walk in Old TownOf Pistoia Wednesday 24 July. The guided tour will focus on the Cathedral of San Zeno and its bell tower which stands out against the starry sky and the secrets of the square, the Piazzetta della Sala, the Ospedale del Ceppo and the Basilica of Santa Maria dell’Umiltà.

The masterpieces of the Uffizi… in the evening! All the Tuesday the Uffizi Gallery will remain accessible in the evening, offering visitors the magical experience of works of art to be admired in the sunset light. For the occasion, Prato Cultura decided to create of guided tours to discover the masterpieces most important of one of the best known museums in the world. You will have the opportunity to see the Majesty by Giotto, the Spring and the Venus by Botticelli, the works of Leonardo Da Vinci and Raphael, the Tondo Doni by Michelangelo, the Bacchus of Caravaggio and many others. The night visit to the Uffizi will not only be less crowded than usual, but will allow you to observe the works of art in a new and fascinating light. The cost of these guided tours is €20 to which it is necessary to add €30 entrance ticket and headset. The visits will be held on June 18th, July 2nd and 16th from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. Places are limited and bookings at the Uffizi Gallery will close one week before the guided tour.
