The municipal administration with the mayor Federico Basile, the councilor Liana Cannata, the general director of the Municipality of Messina Salvo Puccio welcomed the delegation of international guests participating in the “Youth Lead the Way from Zero to Hero: Sustainable Development for Climate Change” project in the Falcone Borsellino room at Palazzo Zanca. The meeting in the municipal headquarters concludes the two-day stay of the international representation in Messina, for the second meeting of the project, financed by the European CERV program, which saw the participation of the associations: Sauna Avatud Noortekeskus Estonia; Kekava Municipality Latvia; Municipality of Relleu Spain; Zavod Boter Novo mesto Slovenia; Filiala Asociatia Se Poate Romania; Youthfully Yours SK Slovakia and Sports room NGO Bulgaria. The meeting in the city of the Strait was an opportunity for the foreign delegation to discuss and discuss with representatives of the Meteorological Station of Messina, the University of Messina, ANISN and ARPA, as well as the possibility of making known the places of greatest interest of the City through guided tours.
Mayor Basile, in greeting the delegation, collected their impressions and complimented them on their presence in the city “the Administration is always attentive and present to support moments of meetings and discussions on such a fundamental issue for humanity, which sees young people as protagonists, but with the awareness of all working together to create a better future for a greener world , healthier and more sustainable”, Basile said. After the inaugural meeting held in Relleu, Spain, last March, the activities related to the project will continue until the end of 2025.
