Francesca Chillemi surprises everyone with a preview of the new season of “Che Dio cihelp”: what will happen?
A few days ago filming began on the eighth season of “God help us”, the Lux Vide production starring the former Miss Italy, the actress Francesca Chillemi who becomes in all respects the main character of the story.
Sister Azzurra, the character she plays, is ready to live her vocation after taking her vows in the finale of the last season. There are many new features in this new season. First of all, the series will no longer be set in Assisi in the convent that everyone knew, but in a shelter for girls in difficulty. Furthermore, Elena Sofia Ricci who played Sister Angela will only be there occasionally in some episodes.

News about the new season comes from the official pages of the series: a photo has been published in which Francesca Chillemi appears, two men from the production and the actor Giovanni Scifoni, already a well-known and loved face from many other successful series. The actor became very popular by taking part in “Doc-Nelle tue mani” and also recently acted, right next to the former Miss Italy, in “Viola come il mare 2”, playing the magistrate Matteo Ferrara. Everyone wonders what role will he have in the eighth season of “God help us”.
In the message released by the production company Lux Vide we read that, alongside Francesca Chillemi there will be a renewed cast, starting with Giovanni Scifoni, who “interprets a character we will get to know very soon”. After this rumor, the assumptions began also in light of the old characters that were in the series.
Scifoni could play a lawyer, as happened to actors Lino Guanciale and Gianmarco Saurino previously, or a doctor, like Pierpaolo Spollon (who confirmed that his character will no longer be there this season). The new season of the hit series will air in 2025it is not yet known whether in January or in the following months.
The CEO of Lux Vide Luca Bernabei communicated during the first day of filming: “We are here because there are still people who put enthusiasm and love into imagining and creating this series, from the writers, to the production, to the cast”. All you have to do is wait to understand what role will the actor Giovanni Scifoni have within the series, which promises sparks with Azzurra in her new role as a nun.
