“Color Textures” in the new headquarters in via Santa Maria 12 in Carrara, the exhibition of its over twenty artists continues. The collective was inaugurated with an artistic speech by the art critic Maria Pina Cirillo, receiving widespread public approval. Curators of the event are: Donatella Gabrielli, Daniela Bertani and Luciana Bertaccini. Next appointment tomorrow, Friday 14 June at 9pm with a finissage dedicated to the theme “Apuane without peace”, stories and poems with the poet writer Angela Maria Fruzzettimusic and songs by the singer-songwriter Marco Alberti. The theme of the evening will be “Apuans without peace” with poems dedicated to the quarrymen and the hard and risky work in the quarries. Another theme, addressed by both Fruzzetti and Alberti, will be the resistance of the women along the paths of the Apuan Alps, in the long winter of 1944/45, when no more food was to be found and “even the grass had the bitter taste of dust I’m shooting.” “Trame di Colore” is held in the context of a city, Carrara, which dresses itself in art, transforming its streets, squares and museums into a real open-air gallery. The objectives of the event are: to promote contemporary art and its ability to dialogue with the public by enhancing the artistic and cultural heritage of the city; offering an opportunity for meeting and exchange between artists, citizens and tourists. The artistic-cultural exhibition is sponsored by the Tuscany Region, by the Ugo Guidi Museum, from the Friends of the Ugo Guidi Museum, Athena, Miscellanea, Sonoria, SofyMusic.
