With the music of DJ Damianito, the carrier also announces this year its sponsorship of the Red Valley Festival, the musical event that has enlivened the Sardinian nights since 2015.

The airline once again confirms its commitment to Sardinia and the strategic importance of this market, reiterating its firm desire to remain and continue to grow on the island.

Seatbelts fastened, soft lights… the DJ set is about to take off! Volotea, the low-cost airline that connects small and medium-sized European cities, hosted a special DJ set on the Verona-Olbia flight on Wednesday 5 June, with Damianito – an internationally successful Italian DJ, producer and remixer – who unleashed all the passengers at 10,000 meters above sea level. With this event, the company confirms its sponsorship of the Red Valley Festival for this year too, the reference event that has warmed up the Sardinian nights since 2015.

A large stage, 4 evenings and many of the best artists on the music scene: The Red Valley Festival returns to the Olbia Arena from 14 to 17 Augustone of the most awaited events among music lovers and beyond, among the unmissable live performances and DJ sets, will bring to the stage all the best of national and international music. Among this year’s guests Annalisa, Geolier, Max Pezzali, Ghali, Ball Enough, Salmo&Noyz, Macklemore, Thomas Paradise And Charlotte De Wittejust to name a few.

The airline intends achieve the goal of reducing direct CO2 emissions per passenger-kilometer by 50% by 2025, five years ahead of the initial program. Furthermore, the airline has set a new, even more ambitious goal: reduce emissions by 58% by 2030. To date, Volotea has launched over 50 sustainability initiatives which have already led to one reduction of carbon footprint per passenger per kilometer by more than 45%. Since 2022, the company has been working on the development of alternative emissions-free technologies, operates Airbus’ internal shuttle service with 34% sustainable aviation fuel and works with manufacturers and industry to ensure that these fuels (today difficult to access) can be developed and disseminated as soon as possible.
